GARMIN G1000 GLASS COCKPIT RATING (PDF)

This is information package for Garmin G1000 Glass Cockpit rating at Aero Club Milano FTO (Flight Training Organization) through the modular course. Such systems are installed on Cessna C172SP-G1000 operated by Aero Club Milano as well as on several other types (Diamond, Beech, etc.). 1. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.
   • A current PPL(A) or more.
2. GROUND COURSE.
   FTO Aero Club Milano organizes training courses for Garmin G1000 digital avionic suite. Course is necessary to fly Cessna C172SP-G1000 operated by Aero Club Milano and other types classified as ATA (Advanced Technology Aircraft). Lessons schedule is published in advance to allow students to be properly informed.
   • GROUND COURSE. Course is held in classroom and is composed of three modules:
     • Module 1 - Theory (12h). Four lessons of theoretical nowledge as well as practical use of G1000 avionic suite. Includes presentation of "Human Factors" related to safe, complete and comprehensive use of digital technology aboard an aiplane
     • Module 2 - Simulator (9h). Three lessons on G1000 simulator for PC.
     • Module 3 - C172SP-G1000 Ground Course (3h). Application of concepts and practices to C172SP-G1000 operated by Aero Club Milano. Non-Aero Club Milano members students may fly Club's airplanes under special conditions
     At the end of the course an attendance certificate is issued.
3. COSTS.
   Cost is 235,- € for Aero Club Milano members, 285,- € for non-members.
4. DOCUMENTS.
   Since G1000 rating is a legal document, it is necessary to open a folder at ENAC (Italian Aviation Authority) including the following documents and certificates. Burocratic part is taken care of by Aero Club Milano under student's delegation and is part of services offered by the Club.
