Nov 08, 2006 - Aero Club Milano has been hit by the loss of the President, Roberto Manzaroli, in a flight accident on the
night of Nov 5th, 2006. The Piper PA31T Cheyenne flown by Manzaroli has fallen for still unknown reasons on the hillside south of Piacenza
while approaching Milan-Linate airport inbound from Malta. A friend of Manzaroli, only other person on board, was lost as well.
Bob "Hurricane" Manzaroli, highly experienced pilot, served for some years as Team Manager of Italian Aerobatic Team, leading the way to its first
Bronze Medal in Grosseto's EAC 1993. Vice-president of Aero Club Milano for several years under Andrea Corte's leadership, was elected President in
1997 and since then has led the Club with strong determination and highly appreciated devotion, taking it to the highest levels of quality and
success. Bob also was key element in most of the goals reached by Italian General and Sport Aviation, under the auspices of AOPA Italy,
Italian National Aero Club (Aero Club d'Italia) and recently ENAV (Italian ATC operator) whose board he had been recently appointed to.

Our Board, sure to be interpreter of all members feeling, is close to Roberto's spouse, Rossella, and beloved daughter, Stefania. We all lost a friend, so apparently grumpy but absolutely honest, lion-hearted and restless in helping everyone wanting to fly however, whatever but SAFELY.
I-MANZ, this is Paradise Control. You can climb unrestricted. Out.
